Abstract:
Introduction: Classical particle accelerators offer proton pulses of some milliseconds duration. In contrast, the new technology of the high-intensity laser acceleration will produce ultimately shorter particle packages (up to one nanosecond) with substantially lower pulse frequency and higher pulse-dose achievement.
