Abstract:
Computer based community support systems can provide powerful support in direct exchange of information and in finding people to exchange information with. In this paper we present the CommunityItemsTool, a community support system that helps people to publish and exchange bookmarks and bibliographic references. The application was built from a user need and shows different features which are important for knowledge management and community applications. The CommunityItemsTool is also the first application built with the Cobricks community support framework. Among other features this framework enables the application to share information with other community support applications and to reuse user profile data. «
